Research & IRB Administrative Assistant- Faculty of Medicine
The Research and IRB Administrative Assistant provides administrative and organizational support for UOB’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) and research activities within the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences. The position ensures efficient coordination of meetings, communication among research stakeholders, and accurate documentation of research activities.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Scheduling and organizing IRB meetings; preparing agendas, emailing and distributing materials, and recording of minutes.
- Managing IRB communications, including responding to inquiries and maintaining records of research proposals and approval letters.
- Coordinating research-related meetings in collaboration with the Associate Dean for Research.
- Serving as liaison between the Resident Research Program, faculty, residents, and physicians regarding research projects and publications.
- Tracking resident research progress and assisting with documentation and reporting.
- Preparing the Research section of the Dean’s Annual Report.
- Coordinating with UOB’s Library Learning Center to archive and maintain records of the Faculty of Medicine research activities.
- Assisting with planning and logistics for UOB-sponsored research conferences and events.
- Representing the IRB or Resident Research Program in meetings and initiatives as requested by the Faculty of Medicine.
- Participating in occasional weekend research conferences or events.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Requires three or more years of administrative experience, preferably in an academic, healthcare, or research environment.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and responsible
Driver cum / Office Assistant to provide driving services for University purposes and assist with basic office support duties. The ideal candidate should have a valid driver’s license, good knowledge of local routes, and the ability to support general office tasks when not on driving duty.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving Duties:
- - Safely drive students, staff, guests, or executives to and from various locations as instructed.
- - Ensure vehicle is always clean, well maintained, and in good working condition.
- - Conduct routine checks on vehicles and arrange for scheduled servicing and repairs when needed.

Position Objective
The Communication Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing communication strategies that enhance the visibility and reputation of the Faculty of Medicine and its Medical Simulation Center. The role focuses on digital presence, social media visibility, media relations, and creative content production, with a special emphasis on covering medical and health-related news.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Communication
- - Develop and implement a comprehensive communication and visibility plan for the Faculty of Medicine and the Medical Simulation Center.
- - Ensure alignment of messaging and visual identity with the University of Balamand’s mission, vision, and values.

5. Internal & External Communication
- - Collaborate with University communication teams to ensure coordinated messaging.

Qualifications & Requirements

- - Technical Skills:

Key Responsibilities:
- - Assist the wider student recruitment team with recruitment events and activities in Lebanon, on and off-campus. Part-Time Faculty Position in Laboratory Management and Quality Control- Faculty of Health Sciences
The Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) Program at the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), University of Balamand, is seeking part-time faculty members to teach courses in Laboratory Management and Quality Control. These courses are part of the undergraduate and graduate curriculum offered across three campuses: Beirut, Souk El Gharb, and Al Koura (Main Campus). Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and availability to teach at any of these campuses depending on academic needs.
Position Title:
Part-Time Instructor - Laboratory Management and Quality Control (MLS Program)
Responsibilities:
- - Teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in laboratory management, operations, and quality assurance.
- - Develop and update course materials and assessments aligned with program learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
- - Introduce students to principles of quality control, quality assurance, laboratory accreditation, and performance improvement.
- - Guide students through real-world applications of laboratory workflow, documentation, and safety protocols.

The Issam Fares Faculty of Technology is looking for a faculty and lab assistant/manager. This position is based on Souk El Gharb campus.
Role Summary
The faculty and lab Assistant/Manager is mainly responsible for assisting the faculty administration, manage lab operations and activities and assist instructors and students in their work.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- - Assist the faculty administration in its daily activities (i.e., contacting students, preparing files, organizing meetings and events, etc.)
- - Organizes and directs the daily activities of the labs
- - Schedules preparation of lab experiments
- - Stores and maintains adequate levels of supplies and equipment, keeping and updating records of inventory and ensuring proper storage procedures
- - Maintains equipment in a functional state, arranging for repairs and ordering replacements
- - Monitors Lab safety measures and establishes necessary procedures and systems to avoid potential hazards. Keeps a neat and orderly work area
- - Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for maintenance and repairs
- - Trains students on the correct use of teaching lab equipment
- - Documents information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books
- - Stores and disposes of hazardous wastes using safety procedures
- - Assists Instructors with follow-up checks on quality problems and takes necessary measures to rectify them
- - Coordinates research activities and assists in recording, compiling and organizing data as required
- - Coordinates and provides assistance to faculty to develop new experiments and formulate instructional modules for existing and proposed experiments
