On October 18, 2025, the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Balamand participated in a Breast Cancer Awareness Day organized by the Barbara Nassar Cancer Center. The event was held at the Forum de Beirut parking area and brought together many universities and hospitals from across the country.

Students and instructors from four departments within the Faculty of Health Sciences, Medical Laboratory, Nursing, Nutrition, and Public Health, represented UOB at the event. Each department connected the topic of breast cancer awareness to its specific field and shared valuable information with the public on how awareness can be raised from different professional perspectives. Nursing students emphasized the vital role of early detection and patient education, while Medical Laboratory students shed light on the importance of diagnostic testing in the fight against breast cancer. Nutrition students promoted healthy eating as a key tool for prevention, and Public Health students highlighted the power of awareness campaigns and community engagement in driving lasting impact.

The event featured free health checks and consultations, a healthy food court, live music, fun activities, and the symbolic “Marche Rose” walk to show support for those affected by breast cancer.
