FOBM Joins UN-Supported PRME Initiative

The Faculty of Business and Management (FOBM) at the University of Balamand (UOB) has officially joined the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), a United Nations–supported initiative that brings together business schools worldwide committed to advancing responsible and sustainable management education.

Commenting on this milestone, the Dean of FOBM, Dr. Karim S. Rebeiz, noted that “joining PRME reflects FOBM’s ongoing commitment to ethical leadership, sustainability, and the integration of societal impact into business education.”

Membership in the PRME global network signals FOBM’s and UOB’s commitment to educating future leaders who are not only competent managers, but also responsible global citizens. This initiative aligns closely with the Faculty’s mission and values, as well as its ongoing efforts to strengthen societal impact through teaching, research, and community engagement.

For FOBM, joining PRME represents both a recognition and a strategic step forward. PRME also offers opportunities for international collaboration, faculty development, pedagogical innovation, and participation in regional and global initiatives through its extensive network, including the PRME Chapter Middle East.
