On December 10, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences at the University of Balamand, in collaboration with Bellevue Medical Center, convened an HIV awareness session at the Dekwaneh campus. The session was delivered by Professor Rabih Hallit, Chief of the Infectious Diseases Service at Bellevue Medical Center.

The presentation addressed essential aspects of HIV, including the possibility of maintaining a normal quality of life while living with the condition, recent advances in prevention and therapeutic strategies, and the imperative role of stigma reduction in improving patient outcomes and public health. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, which underscored the medical students’ analytical engagement, ethical sensitivity, and commitment to evidence-based clinical practice.
