Students from the Nursing Program at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Balamand organized a breast cancer awareness campaign to highlight the importance of early detection and its role in improving recovery chances. The event was held in the church hall in Brummana, bringing together women from the parish and neighboring parishes who demonstrated strong engagement and genuine interest in the health cause.

The campaign included a detailed explanation of the self-examination method presented by nursing students, followed by an awareness presentation delivered by Dr. Matilde Azar, Director of the Nursing Program, who discussed key scientific information about the disease and methods of prevention.

Attendees were also given the opportunity to book free appointments for specialized imaging tests, an initiative designed to promote early detection and enhance health awareness.
