UOB Alumni Lead Batroun Basketball Club to Championship Victory

Coach Charbel Feghali, a University of Balamand alumnus, former men’s varsity basketball player, and former head coach of the UOB Men’s Basketball Team, whom he led to numerous victories locally and internationally, has led Batroun Basketball Club, as Head Coach, to win the Lebanese Second Division Basketball Championship and officially earn promotion to the First Division.

This remarkable achievement is not only a testament to Coach Feghali’s leadership and dedication but also highlights the continued success of several other UOB members who contributed to this championship.

The coaching staff also included Assistant Coach Jean Paul Moubarak, a UOB alumnus and the current head coach of the UOB Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams, whose dedication and leadership continue to strengthen UOB’s sports culture.

On the court, three UOB alumni and former varsity basketball players played a key role in the championship win: Nour Mahfouz, team captain; Louey Salha, guard; and Ghassan Hdayed, center.

This victory stands as a source of pride for the University of Balamand, reflecting its lasting impact in shaping talented athletes, coaches, and leaders who continue to excel and represent the UOB spirit of excellence and sportsmanship beyond the university walls.
