THM Hosts “The Boho Bliss” Hospitality Event

The School of Tourism and Hotel Management (THM) at the University of Balamand (UOB) hosted its annual hospitality event, The Boho Bliss, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the Koura campus. A highlight of the academic year, this joyful event celebrates the achievements of our Lebanese hospitality leaders and their great fortitude while showcasing the creativity, know-how, and unwavering spirit of UOB’s hospitality students.

The evening opened with a heartfelt address by the Director of THM, Dr. Jihane Adeimi, who commended the hospitality students for their commitment and sense of purpose, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and partnerships between THM and hospitality businesses which is essential for lifting students up and pushing Lebanon’s hospitality sector forward.

THM student Cynthia Hemchaoui also delivered a speech sharing the story of UOB hospitality students, their challenges, achievements, and passion, highlighting the teamwork spirit, sustainability philosophy and behind-the-scenes work of the event organizers which are stepping stones to success in the hospitality industry.

The Boho Bliss was more than a festive gathering bringing together hospitality students, faculty, and industry leaders, it was a full-scale student-led production, exemplifying Balamandian hospitality at its finest. From menu design and entertainment to logistics, sound systems, sponsorship, table settings, and cost control, students managed every aspect of the event. They delivered a warm, homemade, and joy-filled experience that radiated creativity and professionalism.

This year’s event was made possible thanks to the support of Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management, Professor Karim Rebeiz. Special appreciation is also extended to dedicated THM instructor Mrs. Serena Issa, Executive Chef Georges Soueid and Pastry Chef Farouk Nasreddine for their mentorship and encouragement which played a pivotal role in empowering students to take ownership of the event and shine
