In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Medical Laboratory program, the Medical Laboratory Department at the University of Balamand organized an Open Health Day at the Souk El Gharb Campus. The event was held in collaboration with Mount Lebanon Hospital University Medical Center (MLHUMC) and supported by the Souk El Gharb Municipality.

Departments and Programs across the Faculty, including nursing, public health, nutrition, and medical laboratory sciences, actively participated, sharing their expertise and playing a vital role in the event’s success.

Free medical checkups were offered by MLHUMC healthcare professionals. Visitors received information on health topics like dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiovascular screening, and took part in various laboratory tests. The aim of the event was to enhance public awareness and understanding of chronic diseases, while emphasizing the importance of early detection and preventive healthcare.
