On April 29, 2025, students from the School of Tourism and Hotel Management (THM) at the University of Balamand enjoyed an educational visit to IXSIR winery, located in Basbina in the Batroun region. The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration between THM and the local wine industry, while offering students a hands-on experience in one of Lebanon’s most renowned wineries.

During the tour, led by IXSIR brand ambassador Mr. Jerome Bassil, students learned about the different stages of winemaking, from the vineyards to the barrels, and explored the unique characteristics of Lebanese wine. A wine tasting session gave students the chance to sharpen their senses and connect their knowledge from kitchen courses to the wine world.

The visit also highlighted the cultural and economic importance of wineries in Lebanon, and the originality of locally made wine. Chef Georges Soueid also joined the visit, making the experience even more enriching for the students.
