The Department of Computer Science at the University of Balamand (UOB) hosted two hubs for the LIGF 2023 forum titled "Effective Governance for a Better Internet in Lebanon." The event spanned two days, starting on January 30th and took place at the university’s Koura and Souk El Ghareb Campuses.
Balamandians, including faculty and students, participated remotely in four sessions covering the future of the Internet in Lebanon, Cybersecurity, Internet of Behaviors and the accountability of social media platforms, emphasizing the role of multistakeholders.
The Forum is jointly organized by OGERO, LIGF, and ISOC, with the Department of Computer Science at UOB having been a partner since the inception of the Forum in Lebanon. ​
