From its foundation in 2008, the Department of Nutritional Sciences (NUSC) at the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) has been dedicated to advancing the role of nutrition as a cornerstone of health and well-being. From the beginning, the department has recognized the importance of collaboration among all members of the healthcare community, fostering an interdisciplinary approach that strengthens the impact of nutrition on individual and public health outcomes.
We are proud that our Nutrition program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), a recognition that reflects the quality of our curriculum, the dedication of our faculty, and the high standards of our academic environment. This accreditation ensures that our students are trained according to international benchmarks and graduate with qualifications that are recognized both locally and globally.
We offer comprehensive academic program that combine scientific knowledge with practical skills, equipping our students to become competent and compassionate professionals in diverse fields, including clinical nutrition, public health, food service management, and research. Our faculty are dedicated educators and researchers who bring both academic expertise and real-world experience to the classroom, ensuring the highest quality of education. Additionally, we have established partnerships and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with hospitals, healthcare centers, and community organizations to enhance students’ experiential learning and professional exposure.
