Overall Objective
To reduce wildfire risks in Mediterranean forests by promoting prescribed burning and silvopasture as Nature-based Solutions (NbS). Through transnational cooperation, it seeks to enhance ecosystem resilience, reduce fire severity, and improve strategic forest management using innovative tools. Implemented across 7 regions, the project will benefit local communities and ecosystems, build stakeholder capacity, raise public awareness, and share outcomes to strengthen wildfire resilience in and beyond the Mediterranean in the face of climate change.
Beneficiaires
Local communities in high-risk areas, first fire responder teams, shepherds, civil protection, policymakers, environmental managers.
