​The University of Balamand (UOB) congratulates its students and alumni who have been selected to represent Lebanon at the 2026 Women's Volleyball Asia Cup in the Philippines.

Following the announcement of the final national team squad by Head Coach Elie El Nar, four members of the UOB community were selected: Mira Adra, Hanane Lababidi, Lea Chabib, and Marie Youssef.

The athletes were part of the Lebanese Women's National Volleyball Team that recently won the Second West Asia Women's Volleyball Championship in Amman, Jordan, securing qualification for the 2026 Asia Cup after an undefeated run of five matches. The team was captained by UOB alumna Mira Adra, with Hanane Lababidi and Lea Chabib also part of the squad, alongside current UOB student Marie Youssef.

Their performances reflect UOB’s continued commitment to athletic excellence and its contribution to developing student-athletes who represent both the University and Lebanon at regional and international levels.
